Once you have a day picked out, here are some things to expect when spending a day on the water us:

Sun/Weather
Although this is San Diego and we do have a lot of sunshine, you will also want to be pre-paired for some cooler weather as well as sun. The mornings can be cool and temperatures can be as cold as 55 degrees starting out and as warm as 80 degrees mid day. Depending on the wind direction and swell, the boat ride can be a little wet.

We recommend bringing the following: light weight rain jacket, fleece, hat, sunglasses, long pants or zip-away quick dry pants, sun buff and closed toe shoes or flip flops.
Please do NOT bring: Spray Sunscreen.

Conditions
Ocean conditions can be predicted pretty accurately by forecast here in the San Diego waters, however, you do want to be prepared for the unseen. Rough waters, fog, drizzle and even a lot of sunshine. Wind plays a big factor when under way and sitting in a slick. It can make for a pretty rocky day while on the water.  If you have any issues with sea sickness please take precautions ahead of time to prepare your self for the trip. (see booking policy regarding seasickness)

Food/Drinks
You will be responsible providing your own lunches, snacks and beverages. You do not want us guessing at what you like to eat, "Sardines and anchovies for everyone!!!" We will have a cooler with ice on the boat for your lunch and beverages. We do provide waters for you but if you are a "super hydrator", you will want to provide additional water.

Fishing Gear/Tackle
Trip pricing includes all fishing rods and tackle needed for charters. If you would like to bring your own rods and tackle please check with Capt. Mark prior to your trip to make sure you are bringing the correct gear for the type of fishing we are going to do. Please visit the trips page to see a list of fishing gear and tackle that we will be using.

Fish cleaning/ keeping fish
Keeping fish - Anglers are welcome to keep their legal limits of fish. We condone catch and release as much as possible and ask to take just what you need. All shark fishing is catch and release, no exceptions.

Fish cleaning - NOT INCLUDED. We want you to spend your day fishing and not watching fish be cleaned. For anglers wanting to keep fish please provide a cooler with ice to leave in your vehicle. We will transfer the fish at the dock after arriving at the end of the day. For fish cleaning we recommend "Fisherman's processing".
